Emails the platform sends.

Every automatic message, what triggers it, and who gets it.

Every message the platform sends on your behalf, what sets it off, and who receives it.

Registration acknowledgment

Goes to the billing contact, as soon as a registration is submitted.

Says the registration was received. The wording differs depending on the state: a free registration is confirmed outright, while a paid registration awaiting payment says so rather than implying it is done.

This exists so nobody is left wondering whether the form worked. It is not the ticket.

The QR ticket

Goes to the billing contact, once the registration is genuinely complete: immediately for a free tier, and once payment is confirmed for a paid one.

Contains the QR ticket for each attendee on the registration. This is the email that matters at the door.

You can send it again at any time:

  • Send PDF on a guest's row, for one guest.
  • Broadcast Tickets in the guest list's Tools menu, for every billing contact on the event, one message each containing all their tickets.
  • Resend Tickets in event Settings, which does the same bulk job from the settings page.

Bulk sends are queued and work through in the background.

Check-in confirmation

Goes to the guest, when they are checked in.

Only if the event has check-in notifications turned on, under Settings. It is a per-event decision: useful at a conference where the message carries the day's programme, noise at a 500-person show.

Team invitation

Goes to the address you invite, when you invite someone to a team.

Contains the link that accepts the invitation. Invitations expire, so a stale link cannot be used later.

Ownership transfer

Goes to the new owner, when a team is transferred to them.

Contact form

Goes to the platform's own support address, when someone submits the public contact form. Not something your events trigger.

Emails the platform does not send

Worth knowing when you plan your communications:

  • There is no reminder email before an event. If you want one, send it from your own mailing tool.
  • There is no automatic message when you change an event's details. Use Resend Tickets if the change is material enough that everyone should see it.
  • There is no cancellation email. If you cancel an event, tell your attendees yourself.

When an email does not arrive

Almost always a spam filter or a typo in the address. Check the address on the guest record first, correct it if it is wrong, then use Send PDF to try again. See troubleshooting.
