Sell the room the way you split the room
General admission and VIP as separate tiers, each with its own price and capacity. When GA sells out, VIP keeps selling. The free event website is your ticket link for every poster, story, and bio, live the moment you publish, with no website of your own to build.
Doors at eight, line gone by nine
Every ticket is a QR code that lands in the buyer's email. At the door, your crew scans from their own phones, and each scan takes about a second. Duplicate detection is what stops the classic concert problem: one ticket screenshot forwarded to five friends. The first scan gets in, the rest get flagged on the spot.
The guest list and the walk-ups
Comps for the band, press, and sponsors go on the same list as paying guests: add them manually and they get a QR ticket by email like everyone else. Walk-ups at the door get added in seconds and appear on every scanner immediately. One list, searchable at the gate, instead of a clipboard and three group chats.
Watch the room fill up
The live view shows check-ins as they happen, so you know from the sound booth whether the floor is filling. Afterwards, attendance and no-show numbers tell you how many of the tickets you moved actually walked through the door, which is the number your next venue negotiation runs on.
